Warranty and Service Centre

The Warranty and Service Centre repair and refurbish terminals for the Northern Europe Region of Ingenico, as well as devices returned by Ingenico France and Iberia.

The facility consists of a repair shop floor, warehouse, secure room and support offices and handles more than four hundred thousand terminals a year. Repair turn around times can vary from next day swaps to up to thirty days.

To ensure that our customer’s requirements are met, we operate day, night and rolling 4-on 4-off shift patterns. We work closely with our Client Services and Sales departments and keep up to date with new products through the Engineering department and Group Research & Development.

The roles we have in Warranty and Service Centre, include

  • Production Manager
    Develop and manage all aspects of the Manufacturing function within the areas of Customisation and Warranty & Service Centre.
  • Superintendent
    Provide shop floor planning and supervision to ensure Quality, Quantity, Cost and Time requirements are achieved
  • Production Coordinator
    To coordinate the repair programmes for various inter company customer regions
  • Senior Team Lead
    Responsible for the day to day production supervision of personnel within product cells ensuring the appropriate production processes are applied to ensure on time, right first time product availability in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
  • Team Lead
    Responsible for the day to day production supervision of personnel within product cells as defined by the Production Superintendent within the Warranty and Service Centre.
  • Repair Operators
    Carry out diagnosis and repair to component level on both Ingenico and non-Ingenico electronic systems

Sonia Butchart, Quality Engineer

I am a Quality Engineer and have worked in the Ingenico Warranty and Service Centre for 17 years. Each day, I pull together customer and product information that provides key data for both our customers and Ingenico’s management team.

My typical day involves running a variety of reports to extract data for various internal and external reports. I find it very rewarding when the information and investigations that I undertake result in finding the solution to a problem.

Ingenico is an ever changing, fast paced environment. There are a lot of experienced people who support each other when help is needed and the team spirit is upbeat. Working here has given me the skills to adapt to a very diverse range of personalities and has shown me that there are many routes within a business to achieving the end goal.
