Ingenico wins two prizes at the Courier Business Awards 2017

Ingenico Group, the global leader in seamless payments, has won two awards at the Courier Business Awards 2017. The winners were announced at an Awards Ceremony, hosted by former MP and The One Show star Gyles Brandreth, in the Apex Hotel, Dundee on Saturday 28th October 2017.

The awards provide an opportunity for businesses to demonstrate business excellence and gain widespread recognition for their achievements. Ingenico picked up two awards; ‘Manufacturing Business of the Year’ and the top prize of ‘Business of the Year’.

Commenting on the awards, Ian Benn Ingenico’s UK Managing Director said, “We are delighted to have been recognised by the Courier Business Awards. Ingenico is at the very forefront of the payments market helping retailers from all over the world manage the ever-changing complexities of our industry. In being recognised in the ‘Manufacturing Business of the Year’ category for a continued focus on innovation, commercial success and evidence of business growth, Ingenico won the award within a highly competitive category. Ingenico was praised for its commitment to the continued professional development of its people and the level of quality and safety standards within its Fife operation.

Ingenico also picked up the final and most coveted prize of the evening for ‘Business of the Year’, awarded to the company which stands out from the pack and exhibits determination to achieve excellence in their field creating wealth and opportunity along the way. Ingenico was judged to have demonstrated a sound and flexible business model, turnover growth, plans to expand and a supportive attitude towards its workforce.

“It really is incredible that the latest payment technology is being developed in Dalgety Bay, Fife, distributed across the UK and exported to support commerce in global markets. That is a real Courier Country success story.”
